The 2010 edition of this event will be held on Sunday, 23 May. We've made some changes, which I hope you'll like. These are summarised below.

Entries open on 6 February 2010. Enter online through this website or mail your entry using the printed form (also available for download from this website from 6 Feb).

Routes

Aqueduct 100

The main event. 170km, or a little over 100 miles, in length and climbing 3000 metres. The route closely follows that of the past two years, starting at southern end of Telford's Aqueduct, descending to cross the Dee then climbing all the way thru and above Froncysyllte. Finish at the Froncysyllte Community Centre at the northern end of the Aqueduct (you pass it shortly after the start).

Facilities

  • We've arranged extra parking, so more entries can be accepted. Parking is included in the entry fee.
  • Sign-on the day before at the Froncysllte Community Centre or in the morning at the start. For those who didn't have time for breakfast tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches will be on sale from the Community Centre.
  • We've recruited extra helpers from the Community Centre and the local CTC. This means more marshals on the road and better service at the stops.
  • Two main service stops and an additional water-only station.

Entry Fees

For 2010 the entry fee has had to be increased to £18. But it will be put to good use, greatly enhancing the facilities at the event. Discounts will be available for groups but a premium will be charged for last-minute entry.

Finally

We're still working out the final details of the event and we're always interested to hear from you. Please use the contact link, below, for any comments or suggestions you'd like to offer.
